We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Argon Welder - FMN Infrastructure

Location: Apapa, Lagos

Purpose

  • To carry out all welding activities within the company and its subsidiaries in order to support machine maintenance and work according to set departmental objectives.

The Job

  • Carry out welding of fabricated components within the workshop and company premises
  • Analyse requested jobs in order to decide the type of welding materials to be used
  • Carry out welding repair of damaged components, devices and machinery
  • Carry out welding activities during installation of pipelines
  • Carry out aluminium welding for production plants
  • Make requisition for material to be used in welding work
  • Soldering of cooling radiators for plants
  • Specialized cast welding repairs for subsidiaries
  • Specialized MIG and TIG welding repairs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English Language.
  • Technical certification would be an added an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in similar role.

The Person Must Have:

  • Have hands-on experience in Argon (TIG) welding of stainless steel equipment commonly used in FMCG manufacturing environments, including pipelines, tanks, conveyors, and processing machinery.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to hygiene, quality, and finishing, ensuring welds meet food-grade standards, smooth finishes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Be knowledgeable in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), workplace safety standards, and proper handling of tools and materials within a production facility.
  • Have good organizational, problem-solving, and teamwork skills to support equipment maintenance, minimize downtime, and meet production targets in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
