We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Product Manager
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos (Hybrid work available upon approval). You may need to go to office once a week
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to:Chief Technology Officer
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours per week).
Job Description
- Define and communicate product vision, roadmap, and priorities aligned with company goals
- Translate business requirements into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Own the product backlog and ensure it is prioritised based on business value, risk, and customer impact
- Continuously gather and analyse user feedback, market trends, and competitor insights
- Leaddaily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Act as Product Owner within Agile/Scrum teams
- Work closely with engineers, designers, QA, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution
- Collaborate with internal teams including Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Finance, and Marketing
- Communicate progress, risks, and delivery timelines to leadership and stakeholders
Requirements & Skills
- Proven experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner, preferably in fintech, payments, or eCommerce
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Hands-on experience with JIRA and Agile project management tools
- Ability to write clear product requirements and user stories
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Technical understanding of APIs, web/mobile products, and backend systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
