Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Gwarimpa, Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support strategic financial decision-making.
• The ideal candidate should havestrong technical accounting skills, leadership ability, and a deep understanding of financial regulations and controls.

Responsibilties

• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and applicable regulatory requirements
• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and support audit activities
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Mentor and review work of junior accounting staff
• Support tax preparation and filings in coordination with tax advisors
• Improve accounting processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
• Experience: 3 - 5 years of experience is required.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Effective communication and leadership skills.

Salary
N160,000 - N180,000 monthly.
