(T.C.T.C.), which is government solely- owned Transport Company, is sourcing for a qualified candidate for the position of General Manager
Job Title: General Manager
Responsibilities
- Assures that appropriate linkages exist between PTS budget, funding limitation and service levels, to meet specific departmental and organizational goals.
- Monitors progress towards fiscal objectives and adjusts plans as necessary to reach them Prepare PTS financial statements and budget reports.
- Work requires managing and monitoring work performance of all PTS departments, including evaluating program/work objectives and effectiveness, establishing broad organizational goals and realigning work and staffing assignments for the department.
Qualifications/Requirements
- A bachelor1s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or University in Transport Management, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field. An MBA or Master's degree in Transport from an accredited-institution would be an added advantage, vis-a-vis registered member of Institute of Logistics & Transport Management. The age bracket of 35 to 45 years is required.
- A minimum of Ten (10) years of progressively responsible management in the operation of a large multi-service public bus transportation system, including Three (3) years of experience at the senior management level.
Human Collaboration Skills
Final decisions regarding policy development and implementation are made and/or recommended. Interaction with others outside the organization requires exercising participative management skills that support team efforts and quality processes.
Technical Skills
Work requires advanced skills and knowledge in approaches and systems, which affect the design and implementation of major programs and/or processes organization. Wide independent judgment and decision making abilities are necessary to apply technical skills effectively and effective collaboration of a Private-Public Partnership.
