Job Title: Spray Painter

Locations: Akwa Ibom, and Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time (Onsite)

Job Summary

• The Automotive Spray Painter is responsible for preparing vehicle surfaces and applying paint finishes to Trucks, cars,escavators, buldozers etc.
• The role requires precision, color-matching skills, and strict adherence to safety and environmental regulations to deliver high-quality automotive finishes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle surfaces by washing, sanding, masking, filling, and priming
• Inspect vehicles for damage or imperfections prior to painting
• Mix and match automotive paints according to color codes and specifications
• Apply base coats, clear coats, and specialty finishes using spray equipment
• Operate spray booths and ensure proper booth conditions
• Monitor paint thickness, texture, and finish quality
• Identify and correct defects such as runs, orange peel, fisheyes, or color mismatch
• Perform polishing and final touch-ups as required
• Clean and maintain spray guns, paint booths, and tools
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Maintain accurate job records and material usage logs

Academic Requirements

• OND, SSCE
• Trade Test 1,2,3

Years of Experience:

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in an automotive setup will be an added advantage

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an automotive spray painter
• Strong knowledge of automotive paint systems and colour-matching techniques
• Ability to operate HVLP and air spray painting equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and quality control
• Understanding of vehicle body repair and refinishing processes
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards and PPE requirements
• Ability to work efficiently under time and production deadlines.
