We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: School Chef

Location: Maba, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and cook nutritious, well-balanced meals for nursery and primary school pupils.
• Prepare a variety of continental and international dishes, adapted to suit children’s nutritional needs.
• Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized kitchen environment at all times.
• Manage food inventory, storage, and stock control while minimizing waste.
• Cater to special dietary requirements, allergies, and cultural food preferences.
• Supervise and coordinate kitchen assistants or support staff, where applicable.
• Work closely with school management to plan menus and meal schedules.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and report maintenance or replacement needs promptly.

Qualifications & Skills

• Relevant certification or training in catering, culinary arts, or food preparation.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a chef or cook, preferably in a school or institutional setting.
• Proven ability to cook continental and international dishes.
• Strong knowledge of nutrition, food safety, and hygiene standards.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• High level of cleanliness, attention to detail, and personal hygiene.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Food safety, hygiene, or first aid certification is an added advantage.
