Job Summary
- We are seeking a skilled and experienced Furniture Carpenter / Cabinet Maker to construct, assemble, and install furniture and cabinetry for institutional and production needs.
- The ideal candidate must have strong craftsmanship skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret design specifications accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct and assemble furniture such as cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes, and fittings
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and related materials
- Interpret drawings, sketches, and design specifications
- Install finished furniture and fittings on-site when required
- Operate woodworking machines and hand tools safely
- Carry out repairs and maintenance of existing furniture
- Ensure quality finishing and durability of products
- Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of FSLC / SSCE
- 0-5 years experience.
- Proven experience as a carpenter or cabinet maker
- Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques and materials
- Ability to read and interpret basic design drawings
- Skilled in using hand tools and woodworking machinery
- Attention to detail and high-quality finishing
- Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks
Added Advantage:
- Technical training or trade certification
- Experience in institutional or commercial furniture production
- Knowledge of modern finishing techniques
- Ability to supervise junior carpenters or apprentices.
