Job Summary

  • We are seeking a skilled and experienced Furniture Carpenter / Cabinet Maker to construct, assemble, and install furniture and cabinetry for institutional and production needs.
  • The ideal candidate must have strong craftsmanship skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret design specifications accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Construct and assemble furniture such as cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes, and fittings
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and related materials
  • Interpret drawings, sketches, and design specifications
  • Install finished furniture and fittings on-site when required
  • Operate woodworking machines and hand tools safely
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance of existing furniture
  • Ensure quality finishing and durability of products
  • Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum of FSLC / SSCE
  • 0-5 years experience. 
  • Proven experience as a carpenter or cabinet maker
  • Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques and materials
  • Ability to read and interpret basic design drawings
  • Skilled in using hand tools and woodworking machinery
  • Attention to detail and high-quality finishing
  • Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks

Added Advantage:

  • Technical training or trade certification
  • Experience in institutional or commercial furniture production
  • Knowledge of modern finishing techniques
  • Ability to supervise junior carpenters or apprentices.
