Job Title: MIPS Engineer
Location: Okpella Plant, Kogi
Job Summary
- The MIPS Engineer is tasked with monitoring, analyzing, and enhancing the mechanical integrity and reliability of plant equipment.
- The role focuses on implementing maintenance best practices, conducting equipment inspections, and supporting plant operations to ensure maximum uptime.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Conduct regular inspections and condition monitoring of mechanical assets.
- Analyze equipment performance data and recommend improvements.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and equipment history.
- Coordinate with other engineers and technicians to address reliability concerns.
- Promote and enforce adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CMRP) is an advantage.
- Experience in maintenance reliability engineering within a heavy industry environment.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of maintenance management systems and reliability tools.
- Excellent analytical and diagnostic skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
