Job Description
- An Entry-Level Accountant (Junior Associate) provides foundational accounting and audit support under the supervision of senior accountants and audit managers.
Responsibilites
Bookkeeping & Record Maintenance:
- Posting journal entries
- Updating general ledger accounts
- Maintaining proper documentation of transactions
- Filing and organizing client financial records.
Bank & Account Reconciliation:
- Preparing bank reconciliation statements
- Reconciling receivables and payables
- Identifying and reporting discrepancies.
Audit Assistance:
- Assisting with audit fieldwork
- Preparing working papers and audit schedules
- Vouching transactions and reviewing supporting documents
- Conducting stock counts or basic verification procedures.
Financial Reporting Support:
- Assisting in preparation of financial statements
- Drafting management accounts
- Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes:
Tax & Compliance Support:
- Assisting with VAT, PAYE, and other statutory computations
- Preparing schedules for tax filings
- Ensuring client records comply with regulatory standards.
Administrative Duties:
- Data entry into accounting software
- Communicating with clients for outstanding documents
- Supporting senior team members on assigned tasks.
Qualifications
- Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor`s Degree with 1 - 3 years experience.
Required Skills:
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to meet deadlines.
Salary
N130,000 - N150,000 monthly.
