We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Operations Manager (Oil & Gas)

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Description

  • The Operations Manager (Oil & Gas) is responsible for leading daily operations across the procurement, construction, installation (EPCI), and operations & maintenance (O&M) activities within upstream, midstream, and downstream oil & gas facilities.
  • The role ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of projects and operations, aligning technical performance with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations across oil and gas facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee EPCI projects from design through commissioning, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Monitor production, transport, and refining processes to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
  • Control operational budgets, monitor costs, and identify efficiency improvements.
  • Prepare reports regularly, and present operational KPIs to senior management.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, clients, and regulators.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Geology, or a related field
  • Experience: 4-7 years in Upstream and Midstream, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Certifications: COREN registration and certifications in HSE, Project Management, or ISO standards

Competencies:

  • Proven expertise in EPCI project execution and O&M management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and operational best practices.
