Job Profile

  • Suacasa Nigeria Limited, a leading real estate development company, is seeking a competent and proactive Safety Officer to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance across its construction sites
  • The ideal candidate will ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, promote a strong safety culture, and minimize workplace risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor site safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Identify hazards and enforce corrective measures.
  • Lead safety inductions, drills, and toolbox talks.
  • Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports.
  • Maintain safety documentation and compliance records.
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Promote continuous safety awareness on all project sites.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc / HND in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or related disciplines
  • NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or other recognized safety certification is required.
  • Professional membership with relevant safety bodies is an added advantage.

Years of Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years relevant experience in construction health and safety management.

Core Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations.
  • Risk assessment and hazard identification expertise.
  • Incident investigation and reporting skills.
  • Safety training and team engagement ability.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Leadership and communication skills.
