Job Title: Accountant / Auditor

Location: Lagos Island, Lagos

Description

• An operator in the down-stream oil & gas sector is seeking for experienced, detail-driven Accountants with forensic accounting background as Accountants and Auditors to strengthen our finance function and support business growth across our retail sales outlets nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Ensure accurate reconciliation of bank statements, ledgers, and income/expenditure accounts Supervise products sales, cashflows, operational expenses, statutory deductions, and regulatory compliance (taxes, remittances, filings)
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, and im cost optimization initiatives
• Support audits and liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and financial best practices.

Comptency Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly preferred
• Minimum of 2 - 4 years progressive experience in accounting or finance role.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to details.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel and Word.

Salary Range
Competitive and negotiable (based on experience and competence).
