We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Ketu Ikosi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Descriptions

• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
• Analyze financial performance and provide insights to senior management.
• Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements, especially in production and logistics.
• Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, general ledger, and payroll.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Maintain compliance with local tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
• Monitor and analyze inventory costs, stock levels, and wastage.
• Work closely with production and procurement to ensure cost-effective operations.
• Implement costing strategies for raw materials and finished goods.
• Monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
• Manage banking relationships, payment processing, and cash forecasting.
• Establish and enforce strong internal controls and audit trails.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations, and industry standards.
• Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Provide financial insights for strategic decisions (e.g., expansion, pricing, new product lines).
• Support management in long-term business planning and investment decisions.
• Contribute to procurement and pricing strategies, especially for raw materials and imported items.
• Supervise junior finance staff and accountants.
• Train and mentor the finance team to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Foster collaboration between finance, operations, sales, and production departments.

Job Requirements

• BSc/ MSc in Accounting, or related field
• 3 years of experience in the field, preferably in the manufacturing industry
• professional certified (ICAN), (ACCA) is a plus
• Filing of corporate tax returns.
• Experience in providing financial advice.
• Experience in Financial Auditing
• Knowledge of QuickBooks and other accounting software
• Detail-oriented and good analytical skills
• Diligent and honest.

Salary
N150,000 - N250,000 monthly.
