Job Title: Coating Foreman

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job type: Contract
Reports to: Coating Supervisor
Department / Division: Corrosion Control

Job Summary

• The Coating Foreman directs the blasting and painting crew, ensuring technical specifications and safety protocols are followed.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign tasks to blasters and painters.
• Check equipment (compressors, spray pumps, blast pots) functionality.
• Ensure correct surface preparation standards (SA 2.5, SA 3).
• Supervise mixing and thinning of paints.
• Enforce use of respirators and protective suits.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Daily coverage area achieved.
• Material consumption vs. budget.

Required Qualifications

• Candidates should possess a Trade Test / NABTEB.

Professional Certifications & Licenses

• NACE Level 1 (desirable).

Experience Requirements:

• 5-7 years experience.

Technical Skills & Competencies:

• Airless spray application techniques.
• Grit blasting techniques.

Physical Requirements:

• Stamina

Working Conditions:

• Dusty and fumes environment.
