Job Title: Head of Growth & Strategy

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: CEO

Role Overview

  • We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Growth & Strategy to lead audience expansion, revenue growth, and long-term business strategy.
  • This role will work closely with editorial, commercial, andcontentteams toidentifyand execute growth opportunities while maintainingNairametrics’ editorial standards.

Key Responsibilities
Growth & Audience Strategy:

  • Develop and execute strategies to grow website traffic, subscriptions, and audience engagement
  • Work with editorial and digital teams to align content with growth objectives
  • Identifyhigh-performing content areas andoptimizedistribution across platforms

Revenue & Commercial Strategy:

  • Drive growth in advertising, sponsored content,outreachand partnerships
  • Expand and optimize non-ad revenue streams including events, seminars, webinars, podcasts, and branded products.

Strategy & Business Development:

  • Identify new growth opportunities, products, and markets
  • Lead strategic partnerships with banks,fintechs, corporates, and institutions
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to inform leadership decisions
  • Develop short- and long-term growth roadmaps

Cross-Functional Leadership:

  • Work closely with Editorial, Sales&Marketing,Content, andITteams
  • Align teams around shared growth priorities
  • Ensure growth initiatives support, not compromise, editorial integrity

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Strategy, or a related field
  • Applicants must currently hold, or have previously held, a senior management position
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen
  • Experience working with data, performance metrics, and growth experimentation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Prior experience in media, fintech, or data-drivenorganisationsis an advantage.
