Job Title: Account Officer (Tally Experience Required)

Job Summary
- The Account Officer will be responsible for managing day to day financial and accounting operations using Tally ERP.
- The role requires strong attention to detail, solid knowledge of accounting principles, and hands on experience with bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Experience in the fleet or logistics industry is an added advantage, particularly in managing operational expenses, trip reconciliations, and cost analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using Tally ERP.
- Post and verify all financial transactions including invoices, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of cashbook records.
- Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable management.
- Manage petty cash, ensuring proper documentation and timely replenishment.
- Assist in budget preparation and drafting of financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
- Maintain a well-organized and up to date filing system for financial documents.
- Fleet related responsibilities (if applicable):
- Track fuel consumption, maintenance expenses, and other trip related costs.
- Reconcile expenses with supporting documents (fuel receipts, waybills, logistics invoices).
- Prepare reports on fleet operational costs and vehicle profitability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years relevant experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP (Tally Prime or Tally ERP 9).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills.
- High degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a fleet, transport, or logistics company is an added advantage.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
Salary
N200,000 – N300,000 (based on experience).
