We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Fitting Foreman

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job type: Contract
Reports to: Fitting Supervisor
Department/Division: Mechanical / Piping

Job Summary

  • The Fitting Foreman leads a crew of fitters, ensuring daily fabrication targets are met with precision and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assign daily tasks to fitters.
  • Verify measurements and cut lengths of pipes and steel.
  • Inspect joint preparation (bevel angles) and fit-up alignment.
  • Ensure correct orientation of valves and fittings as per drawings.
  • Supervise rigging and lifting of spools into position.
  • Maintain tool inventory for the crew.
  • Enforce PPE compliance.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Daily fit-up production counts.
  • Compliance with fit-up tolerances.

Required Qualifications

  • Trade Test I, II, III in Pipe Fitting/Fabrication.
  • NABTEB Technical Certificate.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years experience with 2 years leading a team.

Technical Skills & Competencies

  • Strong ability to read ISO drawings.
  • Proficient in using cutting torches and grinders.

Working Conditions:

  • Site based, outdoor environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physically demanding role involving lifting and positioning materials.
