We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Scaffolding Supervisor

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job type: Contract
Reports to: Site Manager / HSE Manager
Department/Division: Civil / Access

Job Summary

• The Scaffolding Supervisor manages all scaffolding operations, ensuring safe erection, modification, and dismantling of access platforms in compliance with BS EN 12811 and Nigerian regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and plan scaffolding structures based on access requirements.
• Supervise erection and dismantling of scaffolds.
• Inspect all scaffolds (Scafftag system) ensuring they are safe for use (Green Tag).
• Ensure compliance with TG20:13 and SG4:15 standards.
• Manage scaffolding material inventory.
• Conduct risk assessments for complex scaffolding (cantilevers, hanging scaffolds).
• Lead the scaffolding rescue team.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Zero scaffold collapses or failures.
• Timeliness of scaffold availability for other trades.
• Accuracy of Scafftag records.

Required Qualifications

• Candidates should possess an HND / OND in Civil Engineering or related field.

Professional Certifications & Licenses:

• CITB Advanced Scaffolder or equivalent.
• Scaffolding Inspection Certificate (CISRS/STI).

Experience Requirements:

• Must have 8-10 years in scaffolding, with 3 years as Supervisor.

Technical Skills & Competencies:

• Load calculation for scaffold structures.
• Knowledge of tube & fitting and system scaffolds (Cuplok/Layher).

Physical Requirements:

• High level of physical fitness and agility.

Working Conditions:

• Working at significant heights.
