We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Blaster & Painter

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job type: Contract
Reports to: Coating Foreman
Department/Division: Corrosion Control

Job Summary

• Blasters & Painters perform surface preparation via abrasive blasting and apply industrial coatings to steel structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate blasting equipment to remove rust/old paint.
• Clean surfaces using power tools or solvents.
• Mix paints according to manufacturer instructions.
• Apply coatings using brush, roller, or airless spray guns.
• Maintain cleaning of spray equipment.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Uniformity of coating thickness.
• Safety adherence.

Required Qualifications

• Candidates should possess an SSCE / WAEC.
• Trade Test I, II, III.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years experience.

Technical Skills & Competencies:

• Proficient in spray gun handling.
• Knowledge of pot life and induction times.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to hold high-pressure blast hoses.

Working Conditions:

• Requires wearing full protective hoods and suits.
