Role Overview
- Our client is a fast-growing passenger transport and courier logistics company seeking a strategic and commercially driven Director of Finance to join the board and play a key leadership role in shaping the financial future of the business.
- This is a strategic and operational leadership position for a finance executive who understands numbers beyond reporting — someone who can use financial insight to drive business growth, strengthen financial control, and attract funding.
- The successful candidate will take ownership of the company’s financial direction while managing day-to-day financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the company’s financial strategy and provide guidance at board level.
- Take control of daily financial operations including reporting, cash flow, and financial controls.
- Develop and implement financial plans that support company growth and profitability.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
- Build strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and potential investors.
- Identify and secure financing opportunities, capital injections, and strategic investment.
- Provide data-driven insights to support executive decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards.
- Strengthen financial structures, systems, and accountability across the business.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Professional finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent preferred).
- Proven experience as a Finance Director, CFO, or senior financial executive.
- Strong background in banking, corporate finance, or investment relations.
- Experience within transport, logistics, infrastructure, or asset-heavy industries is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to raise capital, secure funding, or attract investors.
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to drive a numbers-led business.
- Experience managing full financial operations in a growing company.
- Excellent leadership and board-level communication skills.
