Job Description

• The Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and improving the day‑to‑day efficiency of the haulage fleet, ensuring minimal turnaround time, reduced waiting periods, proper journey management, and timely delivery.
• Key responsibilities include supervising Journey Managers, ensuring real‑time monitoring of trucks, maintaining visibility of active trips, enforcing route and schedule compliance, and responding to deviations. The role monitors truck turnaround time, trip duration, waiting time, and overall efficiency; identifies bottlenecks; and drives corrective actions.
• The manager implements geo‑fencing protocols, investigates unauthorized deviations, and enforces compliance. The role is responsible for improving fleet utilization, analyzing logistics data, optimizing deployment, and enhancing processes to increase trip frequency.
• Additional responsibilities include coordinating maintenance, tracking downtime trends, supporting preventive maintenance scheduling, monitoring driver behavior, enforcing safety policies, reporting incidents, supporting investigations, and preparing daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
• 5–7 years experience in logistics or transportation operations
• Knowledge of GPS tracking, route planning software, and fleet management tools
• Strong leadership, communication, time management, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple trips simultaneously
• Knowledge of transport laws, safety regulations, and compliance
• Ability to work effectively with drivers and mechanics
• Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills (added advantage).
