Job Objective
- To ensure safe, timely, and efficient transportation services that support the company’s daily operations and uphold its professional image.
- The Driver is responsible for operating vehicles with care and courtesy, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
- The role involves transporting staff, clients, and materials to designated locations, conducting routine vehicle inspections, and promptly reporting any maintenance needs.
- By demonstrating reliability, discretion, and excellent knowledge of routes, the Driver contributes to operational efficiency, staff mobility, and the overall smooth running of the organization.
Core Functions
Transport staff, clients, and materials safely and on time:
- Maintain vehicles in good condition and report any issues.
- Plan efficient routes while following traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Assist passengers with boarding, loading, and unloading when needed.
- Keep records of trips, mileage, and fuel usage.
- Coordinate with departments for pickups, deliveries, and special transportation needs.
- Provide courteous, professional service representing the company positively.
- Respond to emergencies promptly and ensure safety.
- Maintain confidentiality with sensitive passengers or materials
Key Performance Indicator
- On-Time Delivery/Transport Rate: Percentage of trips completed on or before the scheduled time.
- Vehicle Maintenance Compliance: Frequency of routine vehicle checks completed and timely reporting of issues.
- Fuel Efficiency & Usage Accuracy: Monitoring fuel consumption and adherence to company standards.
- Route Adherence: Percentage of trips following planned routes with minimal deviations.
- Passenger Satisfaction Score: Feedback from staff or clients on professionalism, courtesy, and comfort during transportation.
- Incident & Safety Compliance: Number of trips completed without traffic violations, accidents, or safety breaches.
- Record-Keeping Accuracy: Accuracy and timeliness of trip logs, mileage, and fuel records.
- Emergency Response Efficiency: Ability to handle unexpected situations safely and promptly.
- Coordination & Communication: Effectiveness in coordinating pickups, deliveries, and communicating delays to relevant departments.
- Vehicle Cleanliness & Readiness: Consistency in maintaining a clean, safe, and roadworthy vehicle.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess an SSCE; a valid driver’s license is mandatory.
- 5 - 7 years of professional driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record and knowledge of traffic regulations.
- Basic vehicle maintenance and safety inspection skills.
