Job Summary

  • We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Legal Associate to join a reputable law firm in Ikoyi, Lagos.
  • The ideal candidate will support litigation and advisory functions, conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and assist senior lawyers in delivering high-quality legal services to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on assigned matters.
  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, contracts, legal opinions, and correspondence.
  • Assist in litigation processes, court appearances, and case management.
  • Review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Liaise with clients, courts, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders as required.
  • Maintain proper documentation and case files.
  • Support senior associates and partners in legal advisory and transactional work.
  • Ensure compliance with professional ethics and firm policies.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from a recognized institution.
  • Must be a male candidate called to the Nigerian Bar and possess a valid practising licence.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ post-call experiencein a law firm (preferred).
  • Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
  • Good knowledge of Nigerian laws and court procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
