Job Title: Social Media and Content Officer

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a creative and proactive social media and Content Officer to manage all the company’s social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, etc.).
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing engaging content (visuals, videos, etc.), designing promotional materials and maintaining a consistent brand voice across all channels.
  • A background or working knowledge of legal services is essential to ensure the content aligns with industry standards and resonates with our target audience.
  • This position is a fixed- term contract role for a period of one (1) year. The contract may be renewed annually based on satisfactory performance and the operational needs of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and regularly update the company’s social media pages with relevant and engaging content.
  • Design digital marketing materials including flyers, reels, promotional graphics using Canva, Photoshop or similar platforms.
  • Plan, create and publish high quality visual and video contents that reflects the firm’s brand and practice areas.
  • Ensure all content adheres to the firm’s Confidentiality policy and professional ethics.
  • Capture photos and short videos from firm activities, events or behind- the- scenes when required.
  • Stay updated with trends in legal marketing and social media best practices.
  • Provide a monthly content calendar.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, Marketing, Law, Media, or related field is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a digital marketing, content creation or social media management role.
  • Digital portfolio to show previous work done.
  • Proficiency in the use of content creation tools such as Canva, Adobe, CapCut, etc or similar tools.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to write professionally and creatively.
  • Tech- Savvy with good photography and video editing skills.
  • Must be very thorough and diligent
  • Must have the ability to work in a team.
  • Excellent oral communication skills; ability to speak well and confidently
  • Candidates must also reside in Lagos State.
