Job Title: Maintenance Engineer - Portable Equipment & Power Systems
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary
- To plan, supervise, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance on portable construction equipment and power systems to ensure operational efficiency and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Maintain welding machines, air compressors, generators, and portable pumps.
- Perform engine overhauls and electrical troubleshooting.
- Develop preventive maintenance schedules and job plans.
- Conduct load testing and performance evaluations.
- Supervise technicians and coordinate spare parts procurement.
- Ensure compliance with HSE and OEM standards.
Requirements
- B.Eng / HND in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Professional certification (preferred).
- 5 – 10 years relevant experience.
- Strong hands-on diesel engine and generator expertise.
Core Competence:
Diesel diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, leadership, RCA, safety compliance.
