Job Summary

• We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support daily food preparation activities and assist with the delivery of meals to designated service locations across Abuja.
• The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a kitchen environment, understand basic food safety standards, and be comfortable handling both kitchen duties and food distribution tasks.

Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Support:

• Assist cooks and chefs with food preparation tasks (washing, cutting, portioning, and packaging).
• Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Support food plating and packing according to hospital standards.
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
• Assist with stock handling, storage, and inventory organization.
• Ensure proper labeling and packaging of meals for distribution.

Food Distribution & Delivery:

• Load packed meals safely for transportation.
• Deliver food supplies from the central kitchen to designated hospitals across Abuja.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery according to schedule.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of delivery containers.
• Obtain delivery confirmations where required.
• Report any delivery or quality issues promptly.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a kitchen or food production environment.
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Good communication skills.
