Job Title: Optometrist

Location: Ikorodu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Optometrist will be responsible for examining, diagnosing, and managing patients with vision and eye health issues, prescribing corrective lenses, and providing professional eye care services.

  • We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Optometrist to join our eye care team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and visual assessments
  • Diagnose and manage common eye disorders and vision problems
  • Prescribe and fit corrective lenses such as glasses and contact lenses
  • Educate patients on proper eye care and preventive measures
  • Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals for patient referrals
  • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
  • Ensure compliance with eye care safety and hygiene protocols
  • Stay updated with advances in optometry and vision care.

Requirements and Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Optometry (B.Optom) or equivalent
  • Valid practicing license
  • Minimum of 1–3 years post-qualification experience
  • Strong diagnostic and patient care skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a hospital or clinical eye care setting
  • Familiarity with modern diagnostic equipment and vision testing tools
  • Strong teamwork and patient education skills.
