Job Title: Dental Officer

Location: Ikorodu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Dental Officer will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with dental and oral health conditions.
• The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong clinical competence, professionalism, and commitment to delivering excellent dental care.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat dental and oral health conditions
• Perform routine dental procedures such as scaling and polishing, fillings, and tooth extractions
• Provide preventive dental care and oral health education to patients
• Prescribe medications and treatment plans as required
• Maintain accurate dental records and patient documentation
• Ensure strict compliance with infection control and sterilization protocols
• Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Refer patients to specialists when necessary
• Ensure high standards of patient care, safety, and professionalism.

Requirements and Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements:

• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from a recognized institution
• Valid practicing license
• Minimum of 1–3 years post-qualification experience
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of professionalism and patient care

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a hospital or dental clinic
• Good knowledge of modern dental procedures and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.
