Job Summary
- The Driller is responsible for the daily operation of drilling equipment in the quarry.
- He ensures the execution of blast holes in accordance with the drilling plan, specified depths, and production targets, while maintaining equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate tracked or truck-mounted rotary drilling machines.
- Drill blast holes according to specified depth, diameter and alignment.
- Position drilling equipment in line with staking instructions.
- Verify drilling quality and compliance with technical specifications.
- Assist in loading blast holes with explosives (if certified).
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
- Report mechanical faults or operational anomalies.
- Contribute to achieving production targets.
Profile Required
- Primary school certificate minimum.
- Technical training in heavy equipment operation (asset).
- Minimum 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
- Experience in quarry or open-pit mining operations.
- Knowledge of drilling and blasting techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret drilling plans.
- Strong sense of responsibility and discipline.
- Teamwork and operational rigor.
