We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Facility and Store Assistant

Job Ref: IITA/P&C/ NRS2026-007
Location: Kano
Job type: Contract
Contract: 2-year renewable contract      

Responsibilties

  • Receive fuel and other store items for the station.
  • Ensure all fuel receipts are measured using a flow meter and conducted to verify correct quantity and quality.
  • Issue other store items and fuel to IITA vehicles and generators strictly based on approved fuel slips.
  • Issue only upon presentation of a duly approved SRV.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records for all stored items.
  • Provide monthly usage reports to support charge back processes.
  • Raise timely requests for replenishment of store items to prevent complete stock depletion.
  • Assist with asset listing activities.
  • Support proper maintenance and updating of asset records.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements
Qualifications:

  • BSC/HND in Business Administration, Purchasing & Supply, Accounting or any other related course of study.
  • The ideal candidate must have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.

Competencies:
The ideal candidate must:

  • Be able to maintain record‑keeping and documentation to ensure accurate stock levels and rigorous inventory control.
  • Inspect incoming deliveries for damages or discrepancies and report findings accurately.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to support peak operational efficiency within the facility.
  • Have knowledge of Store management.
  • Facilitate accurate and timely check‑in and check‑out of materials to ensure seamless inventory flow.
  • Oversee and coordinate daily warehousing activities to optimize workflow and productivity.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be computer literate and able to use relevant applications effectively.
