Job Title: Junior Compressor Technician
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Summary
- The candidate will ensure the reliable, safe, and efficient operation of compressor units on the FPSO through routine inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
Key Responsibilties
General Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain gas compressor and gas lift skid
- Assist and execute technical maintenance in production plant
Special Responsibilities:
- Daily operation of compressor skid
- Ensuring proper and continuous functioning of gas lift with minimum downtime
- Report to PSUP status of equipment
- Liaise with PSUP for spare parts stock and necessary purchasing
- Report any hazardous situation and equipment failure to PSUP or SPOP as appropriate
- Carry out routine safety tests and checks on equipment as required by PSUP
- Execution and technical expertise to PSUP and SPOP in all mechanical maintenance in production facilities
- Assist SPOP and JPOP in production routines if needed
- Keep record of repairs, adjustments and the use of spare parts
- Be familiar with PTW System
- Be fully familiar with rules, regulations and work procedures applicable to his responsibilities.
Certificates Training:
- Officer in Charge of an engineering watch certificate (OOW).
Professional Qualification
- Officer in Charge of an engineering watch certificate (OOW) is mandatory.
- Mechanical engineering and Production engineering or Marine Engineer with at least 4 years’ experience, preferably from Gas Tankers.
- Compressor Training Certificate
- Very good knowledge in English written and spoken.
