Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are a leading financial services group operating across fixed deposits, loans, high-yield savings, asset management, and insurance brokerage.
  • We are recruiting to fill the following positions to support our growth and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business growth initiatives to expand market presence and achieve revenue targets.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through strategic lead generation and networking.
  • Conduct market research to analyse industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs for informed strategy.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships with key stakeholders, corporate, and partners.
  • Develop and implement effective sales and go-to-market strategies across financial products.
  • Prepare, present, and negotiate business proposals, commercial offers and contracts.
  • Monitor and report on pipeline activity, sales performance, market insights, and revenue forecasts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Compliance to align

Requirements

  • BSc Degree in Marketing, Banking, Finance,Accounting, Economics, or related discipline
  • Master’s degree such as an MBA or related postgraduate qualification is strongly preferred and adds competitive advantage.
  • 5–10 years’ experience in business development, sales, or a related role (financial services preferred).
  • Strong analytic skills with proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of financial products and client acquisition strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional collaborations.
  • Previous experience in banking will be an added advantage.
