Job Summary
- We are hiring a skilled LAN Technician to support structured cabling and network installation projects within our oil and gas operations in Lagos.
Responsibilities
- Pulling, routing, and securing Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cables
- Crimping, termination, and splicing of RJ45, patch panels, keystone jacks, and fiber
- Installation of trunking, conduits, raceways, faceplates, wall jacks, and patch panels
- Proper labelling of cables and ports
- Testing copper and fiber links using LAN testers, Fluke, or OTDR
- Identifying and resolving cabling faults and connectivity issues
- Assisting with installation of network racks, switches, and access points
- Maintaining cabling layouts and port mapping documentation
Requirements
- HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Proven hands-on experience in LAN cabling and installation
- Experience using copper and fiber testing tools
- Basic understanding of networking principles
- Ability to read and interpret network diagrams.
