We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Primary School English Teacher

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging daily lesson plans aligned with national, local, and school English language standards.
  • Teach core English skills including reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, phonics, comprehension, and vocabulary development.
  • Present language concepts in a clear, structured, and relatable manner to enhance student understanding.
  • Enrich classroom learning with interactive activities such as storytelling, debates, role play, guided reading, and creative writing exercises.
  • Use a variety of instructional methods such as discussions, direct instruction, group work, and independent practice.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs, abilities, and interests of pupils.
  • Assess student performance through observations, written assignments, oral presentations, projects, and standardized assessments.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment that promotes respect, confidence, and positive behavior.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, strengths, and areas for improvement.
  • Continuously improve teaching effectiveness by attending professional development workshops, integrating modern instructional tools, and adopting innovative teaching strategies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, English Education, or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification.
  • Prior teaching experience in a primary or secondary school setting.
  • Knowledge and experience with the British Curriculum.
  • Proficiency in the use of interactive/smart boards and digital learning tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with 21st-century teaching methodologies and classroom technology integration.
