We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Food and Nutrition Teacher (Secondary School) - IGCSE
Location: Surulere, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Teach students food and nutrition principles, meal planning, and practical life skills
- Develop and implement lesson plans and curriculum in Food and Nutrition/Home Economics
- Demonstrate and teach practical life skills, including food preparation, budgeting, and home management
- Assess student learning and provide feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
- Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics, Food and Nutrition, Education, or a related field
- Teaching certification/license
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
- Advanced degrees or certifications in Food Science, Culinary Arts, or Nutrition (desirable)
- Hands-on experience in practical skills related to cooking, meal planning, sewing, or household management
- Strong knowledge of nutrition, dietetics, food preparation, and safety protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- TRCN Certification is an added advantage.
