Job Title: Deputy Registrar

Job Summary

  • The successful candidate will assist the Registrar in the overall administration of the University, ensure effective coordination of registry operations, and support the implementation of academic and administrative policies in line with University regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Registrar in managing the Registry and general administrative functions of the University
  • Coordinate academic administration, including admissions, examinations, records management, and student services
  • Ensure compliance with University statutes, policies, and Regulations
  • Supervise staff, ensure effective job planning, and promote efficient service delivery
  • Prepare official reports, memoranda, and institutional correspondence
  • Assist in policy implementation and administrative planning across academic and non-academic units

Requirements

  • Candidates must possess a good first degree, preferably in the Humanities, Law, Social Sciences, or Management Sciences
  • Minimum of thirteen (12) years cognate administrative experience in a University
  • Registration with any one of recognized professional administrative body such as ICA, ANUPA, NIM, CIPM, or related associations is mandatory
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply University Rules and Regulations.
  • Proven experience in job planning, staff management, and administrative control
  • Strong leadership, excellent human relations, and a high sense of responsibility

Additional Advantage:

  • Possession of a higher degree and broader administrative experience within the University system will be an added advantage.
