A Reputable Company is recruiting to fill the following position below:

Job Title: Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain electrical systemsand control systems.
• Install, calibrate, and test field instruments and perform loop checks.
• Conduct electrical and instrumentation testing, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including fire/gas detection systems, ESD systems, and Ex-rated equipment.
• Follow safety proceduresand document maintenance, calibration, and inspection activities.
• Support shutdowns, commissioning, and system handovers.

Required Competencies

• HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or a related field.
• Trade Test and APAVE Certification.
• 5–7 years of hands-on experience as an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, and P&IDs.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Knowledge of control systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA).
• Skilled in using electrical and instrumentation test tools.
• Familiar with hazardous-area (Ex-rated) equipment installation, testing, and inspection.
