Job Title: Business Development Executive

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • The Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth for the organization.
  • The role involves market analysis, client engagement, proposal development, and relationship management to expand the company’s market presence and achieve sales targets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets
  • Develop and implement strategic sales and growth plans
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders
  • Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals, presentations, and pitches
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform strategy
  • Negotiate contracts and close business deals in alignment with company objectives
  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, finance, marketing) to ensure successful project execution
  • Track sales performance, pipeline activities, and revenue forecasts
  • Represent the company at industry events, meetings, and networking forums
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3–6 years’ experience in business development, sales, or marketing
  • Experience in oil & gas, engineering services, or a related industry is an added advantage

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of sales strategies, market analysis, and revenue growth models
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience using CRM software and sales tracking tools
  • Ability to prepare financial proposals, pricing models, and cost estimates
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Understanding of business performance metrics and reporting
