Job Title: Business Strategy Analyst

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• The Business Strategy Analyst is responsible for driving data-informed strategic initiatives that support organizational growth, operational efficiency, and competitive advantage.
• The role involves conducting market research, financial analysis, and performance evaluations to provide actionable insights that guide executive decision-making and long-term planning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and emerging trends
• Develop financial models, forecasts, and business cases to support strategic initiatives
• Analyze operational and financial performance data to identify improvement opportunities
• Support the development and execution of corporate strategy and business transformation initiatives
• Prepare executive-level reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategic objectives with operational plans
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights on performance gaps
• Evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and investment proposals
• Identify risks associated with strategic initiatives and recommend mitigation strategies
• Support budgeting and long-term planning processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
• 4–6 years’ experience in strategy, business analysis, consulting, or corporate planning
• Master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage.

Technical Skills:

• Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Experience with strategic frameworks (SWOT, PESTLE, Porter’s Five Forces, etc.)
• Strong understanding of financial statements and performance metrics
• Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable business insights
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and corporate performance management.
