Job Title: Van Sales Representative

Job Summary

  • The Van Sales Representative is responsible for selling and delivering company products directly to retailers and wholesalers within an assigned territory using a company van.
  • The role involves driving sales, maintaining strong relationships with customers, ensuring product availability in outlets, and achieving daily and monthly sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the company van to assigned routes and territories to sell and distribute FMCG products to retailers and wholesalers.
  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets set by the company.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure repeat business.
  • Identify and onboard new retail outlets within the assigned territory.
  • Ensure proper display and visibility of company products in retail outlets.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, collections, stock levels, and customer orders.
  • Handle cash, POS, or transfer payments and ensure proper documentation of transactions.
  • Monitor stock levels in the van and coordinate replenishment with the warehouse.
  • Provide regular feedback on market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
  • Ensure the company vehicle is properly maintained and operated according to safety standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of OND or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience as a Van Sales Representative or in FMCG sales is an advantage.
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving skills.
  • Good knowledge of local markets and sales routes.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to meet sales targets and work independently.
  • Basic record-keeping and numerical skills.
