Job Summary

• The Injection Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining injection molding machines used to manufacture plastic beverage components such as caps, closures, and preforms.
• This role ensures production efficiency, product quality, food safety compliance, and adherence to company standards within a fast-paced beverage production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate injection molding machines to produce beverage caps, closures, and/or PET preforms according to specifications.
• Perform machine start-up, shutdown, and basic setup adjustments.
• Monitor resin feeding systems and ensure correct materials are used per production schedule.
• Conduct routine quality checks (dimensions, weight, visual defects) to ensure compliance with food-grade and company standards.
• Monitor cycle times, scrap rates, and production output to meet daily targets.
• Identify and troubleshoot minor mechanical or process issues; escalate major issues to maintenance.
• Maintain accurate production logs, downtime reports, and quality documentation.
• Follow all food safety, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, and safety regulations.
• Maintain the cleanliness of machines and the surrounding work area in accordance with sanitation standards.
• Assist with mold changes and preventive maintenance as required.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1–3 years of injection molding experience preferred (experience in food or beverage manufacturing a plus).
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read work orders, production schedules, and quality specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
