Description

• Are you passionate about spoken English, pronunciation, diction, and helping learners speak confidently and correctly?
• We are urgently seeking a vibrant and dedicated Oral English Teacher to join our academic team in Ibadan.
• We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic professional who can effectively teach Oral English (phonetics, pronunciation, stress, intonation, speech sounds, etc.) and help students develop excellent spoken communication skills.
• The successful candidate will undergo structured training to ensure alignment with our academic standards and teaching methodology.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Oral English (phonetics, diction, articulation, stress & intonation).
• Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials.
• Conduct practical speech drills and pronunciation exercises.
• Assess students’ oral proficiency and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain discipline and foster an engaging learning environment.
• Participate in academic meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

• HND / Bachelor’s Degree in English, Linguistics, Education, or related field.
• Strong command of spoken English with clear pronunciation.
• Sound knowledge of phonetics and speech sounds.
• Teaching experience is an added advantage.
• Must be single.
• Must be open to relocation and occasional travel if required.
• Passionate, energetic, and professional in conduct.

Location Details:

• The role is based in Ibadan, Oyo State, adjacent to the WAEC Office.
