We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Cost Management Officer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Cost Analysis & Reporting:Conduct detailed cost analysis, analyze variances between actual and budgeted costs, and prepare regular performance reports using dashboards.
• Budgeting & Forecasting:Assist in developing, monitoring, and updating project and operational budgets.
• Process Improvement:Evaluate existing procedures to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Financial Control:Oversee inventory controls, reconcile general ledger accounts, and verify cost accuracy.
• Strategic Support:Collaborate with project managers to align project costs with financial requirements and provide data-driven insights for decisions.
• Contract Compliance:Ensure project expenditures comply with financial regulations and contract terms.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Proven experience in cost management, cost control, or accounting.
• Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and MS Excel (including data modeling).
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management.

Typical Qualifications:

• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, or Project Management certification) are often preferred.
