The Nigeria Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICArb) is the premier arbitration institute in Nigeria founded in 1979 under the leadership of former Attorney General of Nigeria and former judge of the World Court at The Hague, Judge Bola Ajibola, SAN, KBE and duly incorporated in 1988 under the Companies Act as a legal entity Limited by Guarantee.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Brand and Communications Officer

Location: Lagos

Role Description

  • This is a full-time on-site role based in Nigeria for a Brand and Communications Officer. Responsibilities include crafting and distributing press releases, building and managing relationships with media organizations, developing and managing strategic communication plans, drafting compelling content, and ensuring cohesive branding in alignment with the Institute’s mission.
  • The role also involves timely communication with stakeholders to foster public awareness and ensure consistent representation of NICArb’s objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in branding or communication roles; experience in arbitration or legal organizations is a plus.
  • Proficiency in creating Press Releases, Writing, and Content Development.
  • Strong skills in Communication and Strategic Communications.
  • Experience in Media Relations and building relationships with media outlets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms is beneficial.
