Polo - Cico Farms and Estate Limited is a farm complex, into Greenhouse farming to produce varieties of pepper on a large scale, as well as poultry and catfish production for both local and international markets.

Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

• The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of electrical systems and equipment within the farm facility.
• The role ensures uninterrupted power supply, operational efficiency of machinery, and strict compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures.
• Diagnose electrical malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Maintain records and files of all maintenance works.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics
• Demonstrate the initiative to investigate and offer improvements to our plant operation
• Utilize problem-solving techniques in interacting with other employees in resolving issues
• Create notifications and follow up on repairs.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in a farm, manufacturing, or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with generators, control panels, motors, and distribution systems.
• Basic knowledge of PLC systems (added advantage).
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision.
