Job Title: Technical Sales Specialist

Location: Lagos

Role Overview

  • The Technical Sales Specialist will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing cybersecurity opportunities across mid-market and enterprise customers. This role requires strong consultative selling skills, deep understanding of cybersecurity solutions, and the ability to align security offerings to business and risk objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle for cybersecurity solutions, from prospecting through
  • deal closure and handover.
  • Identify and qualify opportunities for MSSP services including SOC monitoring,
  • SIEM, incident response, cloud security, vulnerability management, and threat
  • intelligence.
  • Engage customers in consultative discussions to understand business risks,
  • compliance needs, and security maturity.
  • Develop tailored proposals, pricing, and value-based business cases in
  • collaboration with pre-sales, SOC, and engineering teams.Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders,
  • including CIOs, CISOs, and IT leaders.
  • Work closely with Customer Success and Operations teams to ensure smooth
  • onboarding and long-term account growth.
  • Manage pipeline health, forecast accurately, and meet or exceed assigned
  • revenue targets.
  • Track market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging cybersecurity threats to
  • inform sales strategy.
  • Support renewals, upsell, and cross-sell initiatives across existing accounts

Requirements

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP, cloud certifications) are an
  • advantage.
  • 5 – 8 years of B2B sales experience, with at least 3–5 years selling cybersecurity solutions or services.
  • Experience selling MSSP or managed security services.
  • Exposure to regulated industries (financial services, fintech, healthcare, telecoms)
  • Proven track record of closing complex, consultative deals in cybersecurity or technology services.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as SOC operations, SIEM,
  • cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP), compliance frameworks, and incident response.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non- technical stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (pre-sales, engineering, SOC,
  • customer success).
