African Natural Resources and Mines Limited (ANRML) is a Nigerian mining and steel company under the African Industries Group (AIG). It operates a fully integrated iron ore mining and processing facilityin Gujeni village, Kagarko LGA of Kaduna state, Nigeria.

Job Title: Security Officer

Location: Gujeni, Kaduna

Job Summary

• The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the premises, employees, visitors, and assets.
• The role involves monitoring activities, enforcing company policies, preventing security breaches, and responding to incidents swiftly and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and safety hazards.
• Conduct routine inspections of buildings, gates, and security equipment.
• Control entry and exit points; verify identification and maintain visitor logs.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents; provide necessary support and escalate when required.
• Enforce company security policies and procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.
• Assist in crowd management during events or emergencies.
• Operate surveillance systems (CCTV) and report any suspicious activities.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency response teams when needed.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (OND/NCE preferred).
• Previous experience in security or law enforcement is an advantage.
• Physical fitness and ability to stand or patrol for long periods.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
• Knowledge of security protocols, surveillance systems, and emergency procedures.
• Integrity, honesty, and strong attention to detail.
• Must be willing to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
