A major conglomerate, headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria, with substantial assets across major Nigerian cities and an expanding portfolio in West Africa, is strengthening its Property and Real Estate business, and is inviting applications from qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location:  Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project budgets, costs, and contracts
  • Prepare and review BOOs, valuations, claims and related contractual issues
  • Prepare tender packages and coordinate the tendering and award processes
  • Coordinate with project teams and clients
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and standards
  • Conduct feasibility studies to vet proposed projects
  • Lead structural design and analysis for complex projects and renovations
  • Develop and manage structural design packages and documentation
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients Ensure compliance with Nigerian building codes and standards
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources
  • Mentor junior engineers and inters

Qualifications

  • B.Sc / HND in Quantity Surveying or related field
  • Minimum of 20 years of work experience in quantity surveying
  • Membership of QSRBN or RQS (MNQS).

Other Requirements:

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD, ETABS)
  • Strong understanding of Nigerian building codes and regulations
  • Experience with construction project management
  • Strong understanding of Nigerian building codes and regulations

  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness
  • Strong knowledge of building materials market and construction technology
  • Strong knowledge of legal, contractual and procurement methods
