Principal Structural Engineer at a Major Conglomerate

A major conglomerate, headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria, with substantial assets across major Nigerian cities and an expanding portfolio in West Africa, is strengthening its Property and Real Estate business, and is inviting applications from qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Principal Structural Engineer

Location:  Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and analysis for complex projects and renovations
• Develop and manage structural design packages and documentation
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian building codes and standards
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources
• Mentor junior engineers and inters

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering
• Registered with the Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN)
• Minimum of 20 years' experience in structural design and project management. 

Other Requirements:

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD, ETABS)
• Strong understanding of Nigerian building codes and regulations
• Experience with construction project management.
