Job Title: Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Engineer
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Summary
- To implement, monitor, and enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and standards on projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, company standards, and safe execution of all activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HSE plans, procedures, and programs for assigned projects
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts, recommending corrective actions
- Provide HSE training, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for project personnel
- Monitor and report HSE performance, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards
- Support the preparation of HSE reports for management and clients
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across all project activities
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Zero reportable accidents or incidents attributable to oversight
- ≥95% compliance with HSE inspections and audits
- 100% of high-risk activities assessed and controlled
- All HSE incidents investigated and reports submitted within 48 hours
- ≥90% of staff trained on HSE procedures and safety awareness
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Safety, Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering
- NYSC Discharge Certificate.
